What we collect when you book or get in touch, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Ob’s Barber, 175 Mansfield Road, Nottingham NG1 3FR. Telephone 07777 712090. We decide how your details are used, so we are the data controller.
What we collect
- When you book online: your name, phone number and email address, the service, barber, date and time you chose, and optional notes.
- When you send an enquiry: your name, phone number, optional email address, the topic and your message.
- Payment: your deposit is taken by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We keep a payment reference so we can match a payment to your booking.
Why we use it
- To make and manage your appointment, take the deposit and email you a confirmation (needed to carry out your booking).
- To reply to your enquiry.
- To keep records of bookings and payments for the shop’s accounts.
We don’t sell your details and we don’t use them for marketing.
Who handles it for us
- Supabase, which hosts our booking database.
- Stripe, which takes the deposit.
- Resend, which sends our emails.
- OpenFreeMap, which serves the map on the home and visit pages. Your browser contacts it directly when the map loads, so it can see your IP address. We send it nothing else.
- Our website host.
These providers process your details on our behalf and may do so outside the UK under approved safeguards.
How long we keep it
Draft: the shop to confirm a retention period for booking records. Until then, booking details are kept for as long as needed for the shop’s accounts and to deal with any query about a booking.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you, or object to how we use them. Call 07777 712090 or ask at the shop. If you are unhappy with how we handle your details you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
